Itinerary

  • You will be picking from Coimbatore Airport / Railway station and drive to Munnar (02 Hrs drive).

    (Munnar, situated 1600 Meter above sea level at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India.)
     
  • On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots.
  • On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel will be arranged.

  • After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing.
  • The Mattupetty Dam / Lake is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Munnar, surrounded by lush green forest. Entry fee Rs.40/- per person. Open from 9:30 am till 5 pm. You may also engage in boating and horse rides [depend on availability] (ranges from Rs.50 to Rs.700).
  • The Kundala Lake / Dam is one of the most picturesque locations in Munnar. It requires no entry fees, but boating activities costs from Rs.100/- to Rs.200/-.
  • Visitors are allowed till 5pm.
  • Visit the Photo Point and Echo Point with no entry charges.

  • Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.

  • After breakfast proceed to sightseeing.
  • Places to visit: The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is one of the five national parks in Kerala, with rich flora and fauna, which is home to the famous Nilgiri Thar. The park closes at 4 pm. Entry fee (Indian adult = Rs.120/-, Indian Child between 5 to 12 yrs age = Rs.90/-, Foreigner= Rs.450/-)
  • The Lakkam Waterfalls is one the most sought waterfalls in Munnar and is also the nearest waterfall from Munnar town. Visitors can trek their way up to the waterfall. Open from 8am to 5pm and charges Rs.40/- per person.
  • The Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary in Munnar is one among the richest in terms of vegetation and wildlife. A plethora of animals can be spotted in the sanctuary ranging from leopards and bonnet macaque to varieties of butterfly species. Open from 6am to 6 pm. Entry fees are; Rs.50/- per Indian adult, Rs.250/- per foreigner.
  • Overnight is at hotel in Munnar

  • Early Morning, proceed for Kolukkumalai Sunrise trek.
  • Kolukkumalai is the highest tea plantation in the world.
  • Kolukkumalai trip is a pure off road jeep safari of 14 KMs through Kolukkumalai tea gardens.

    (Visit sunrise point called singapara ( Lion - Face ) and then highest oraganic tea factory in the world, which was built around 1930's by the British. This tea factory is still Fucntional and can get a chance to see how tea is processed by orthodox method. Kolukkumalai is know for its picturesque sunrise and this tea factory. Guest can buy Kolukkumalai Tea from factory outlet which is not available in local market as they export Kolukkumalai tea rather than selling it locally.)
     
  • Later in the evening Proceed for Shola Sunset trip, it is a blend of jeep safari ( 4x4 ) through lush green cardamom forest and a medium difficult trek uphill to see a slendid susrise and sun set .
  • Overnight stay is arranged at hotel

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom (05 Hrs Drive).

    (A tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. The stretch of backwater is spread over 900 sq. km. )
     
  • Check in to the hotel.
  • Rest and relax for the day.
  • Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.

  • Early morning around 6.00 AM proceed for bird sanctuary visit.
  • After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing in and around Kumarakom
  • Choose a canoe, motor boat or houseboat and devour the beauty of this backwater paradise at its best.
  • Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.

  • Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats.
  • Check in time is 01:00 PM and cruise starts with lunch.

    ( While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. )

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel / House Boat and drive to Alleppey.

    (This is a quaint town flanked by the Arabian Sea in the west and has a vast network of lakes, lagoons and freshwater rivers criss-crossing it. Alleppey is an important backwater destination attracting several thousand foreign tourists every year and is also famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry.)
     
  • Visit The Alleppey Beach situated in Alleppey Town is the most visited tourist destination after the backwaters. Fly a kite, get a camel ride, watch the sunset from the 60 year old Alappuzha Lighthouse, grab some street food or just sit back and enjoy the breeze!.
  • The Revi Karunkaran Memorial Museum is famous for its exhibits of European artifacts, Swarvoski crystal and ivory. Entry fees is Rs.100/- and is open from 9am to 5pm. The museum remains closed on Mondays.
  • Alleppey is famous for its local marketplace Mullackal Street that offers variety of shops and stalls that sell from jewelry to spices at lower prices, provided you are good at bargaining.
  • A variety of handicrafts and products are using coconuts, and you can discover all the creativity experimented on coconut in the International Coir Museum. The museum is open from 9am to 5pm and remains closed on Mondays.
  • Evening drive to Cochin Enjoy the city lights and the backwaters of Kochi in Marine Drive that stretches along 3.6 km.
  • Kochi is also home to every shopaholics heaven, the Lulu Mall which is the largest shopping Mall in India.
  • Overnight stay is arranged in Cochin.

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel.
  • Spend the afternoon with local sightseeing in and around Cochin.
  • Places to visit: Jewish Synagogue, also known as Pardesi Synagogue, is the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. Open from 7 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm, remains closed on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Jewish holidays. Entry fees Rs.10/- per person.
  • Just outside the Jewish Synagogue is the famous Jew Town, where small shops and stalls are put up that sell Indian and Chinese antiques. Open from 5 am to 9 pm.
  • The St Francis Church, where the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gamas body was initially buried, is yet another significant tourist hotspot in Kochi well known for its beautiful architecture and ambience; it is one of the oldest churches built by the Europeans. The church is open to visitors from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. No entry fee.
  • Dutch palace, which is also known as Mattanchery Palace, though built by the Portuguese, it is a perfect example of Kerala style architecture. Open 10 am to 5 pm and charges Rs.20/- per adult and Rs.10/- per child as entry fees.
  • Santa Cruz Basilica is one of the finest and most impressive basilicas in Kerala. Built and named after the Portuguese Santa Cruz, the church is open to visitors from 8 am to 6:30 pm and requires no entry fees.
  • Also get the best view of the Chinese Fishing Nets from the Vasco da Gama Square
  • Enjoy the city lights and the backwaters of Kochi in Marine Drive that stretches along 3.6 km.

The Kerala’s Hill & Backwater Odyssey begins with a warm welcome at Coimbatore or Ernakulam, followed by a scenic drive to Munnar, a lush hill station surrounded by waterfalls and tea plantations. Over the next two days, enjoy Munnar’s highlights, including the Mattupetty and Kundala Lakes, the enchanting Echo Point, and the Photo Point, as well as exploring Eravikulam National Park, Lakkam Waterfalls, and the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. On Day 4, embark on a thrilling off-road jeep safari to Kolukkumalai, the world’s highest tea plantation, famous for its organic tea factory and stunning sunrise views. Following Munnar, the journey continues to Kumarakom, a serene backwater haven along Vembanad Lake, offering a tranquil bird sanctuary visit and optional canoeing or houseboat rides.
