Itinerary

  • You will be picking from Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station and drive to Guruvayur (02 ½ Hrs drive)
  • Have Darshan at Guruvayurappan Temple
  • Visit Anakotta - Guruvayur Devaswom elephant sanctuary -one of the largest elephant sanitarium in all over the world. Also known as Punnathurkotta, Anakotta is 3 km far from Guruvayur Temple.
  • Afternoon drive to Munnar (06 Hrs). On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots.

  • On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel will be arranged.

  • After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing.
  • Places to visit are Tea Museum -displays the history and evolution of the tea plantations in Munnar. Entry fee Rs.125/- per adult, the museum is open to tourists till 5pm.
  • If you are a flora lover, pay a visit to the Floriculture Centre Munnar. Commonly known as Rose Garden, it has over hundred varieties of flowers and herbal plants. Open from 10 am to 5 pm and charges Rs.30 per person.
  • The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is one of the five national parks in Kerala, with rich flora and fauna, which is home to the famous Nilgiri Thar. The park closes at 4 pm. Entry fee (Indian adult = Rs.120/-, Indian Child between 5 to 12 yrs age = Rs.90/-, Foreigner= Rs.450/-)
  • The Mattupetty Dam / Lake is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Munnar, surrounded by lush green forest. Entry fee Rs.40/- per person. Open from 9:30 am till 5 pm. You may also engage in boating and horse rides [depend on availability] (ranges from Rs.50 to Rs.700).
  • The Kundala Lake / Dam is one of the most picturesque locations in Munnar. It requires no entry fees, but boating activities costs from Rs.100/- to Rs.200/-. Visitors are allowed till 5pm.
  • Visit the Photo Point and Echo Point with no entry charges.
  • Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey.
  • Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats.
  • Check in time is 01:00 PM and cruise starts with lunch.
  • While cruising, let your eyes settle for the bowed-down paddy fields, local inhabitants, rustic homes, ancient churches / temples and swaying coconut groves.
  • Food will be served onboard.
  • Overnight stay in the houseboat

  • After early breakfast check out from the house Boat and drive to Kovalam.
  • En route visit Varkala - a small, peaceful place just 51 km from Trivandrum international airport and 176 km from Cochin international Airport.
  • Varkala's main beach, Papanasam is long and golden with a stunning backdrop of red laterite cliffs from which healing mineral water springs forth.
  • Varkala's Temple Junction is home to the ancient Janardhanaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu that was largely rebuilt in the 13th century.
  • Evening drive to Kovalam (01 Hr Drive); on arrival check-in into hotel.
  • Overnight stay is arranged at Kovalam.

  • After breakfast proceed for a day trip to Kanyakumari.

    (Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent and represents the site where the spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda spent days in meditation upon a rock off of the coast.)
     
  • Padmanbhapuram Palace, Suchithram Temple, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Memorial, Gandhidham and Trivenisagam are some of the sightseeing attractions in Kanyakumari.
  • Enjoy the sunset in the evening and drive back to Kovalam for an overnight stay.

  • Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum after breakfast.

    (Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192 sq.km. )
     
  • Visit Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo.
  • Evening drive back to Kovalam
  • The Kovalam beach is divided into three beaches; the Samudra beach, the Hawah beach and the Lighthouse beach.
  • Also visit Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium not far away from Kovalam and unravel the mysteries of the marine sea. Open from 9am to 5pm charging Rs.20/- per adult and Rs.10/- per child. .** Above rates are indicative
  • Enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach.
  • Overnight is to be spent at hotel.

  • After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport / railway station (depend on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God's Own Country.
