Saradharam’s Lakshmi Vilas Heritage Hotel occupies a traditional landlord’s bungalow, or Pannaiyar Veedu, originally built in the mid-19th century during the 1850s.
The property, spanning 4.5 acres, initially comprised the main terraced bungalow for the Pannaiyar's family, two tiled domestic quarters for staff and farmhands, and a large cattle shelter, all surrounded by orchards of lemon, sapota, mango, and coconut trees. This heritage property has remained in the possession of the same family for over eight generations.
