To assist you with a better comprehension of what's in store and how to set up, this page gives an exhaustive outline of the agreements related to going through South Indian Routes. The most common routes being covered are Goa, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andaman.
Booking and Reservation
1. Capability and recognizing evidence
- All explorers ought to be 18 years of age to make a booking.
- Valid official identification is required at the time of booking and during travel. Visas, driving licenses and Aadhaar cards are recognized.
2. Booking Certification
- Arrangements are avowed exclusively after receipt of the advance payment.
- A 30% advance payment is required to confirm your booking, and the remaining balance can be made in easy installments before your travel date.
- We reserve the right to determine the advance payment amount based on the nature of the services and the time remaining before the services commence.
- In addition to the above, for certain situations such as hotel or resort bookings during the peak tourist season (e.g., Christmas, New Year), full payment may be required in advance.
- A confirmation email with details of the timetable, accommodation, transportation and other significant information will be sent after the booking is confirmed.
- Any blunders in the booking nuances should be represented as soon as getting the confirmation.
- Kindly note that once the tour/service cost is finalized, any increases in monument or museum entrance fees, taxes, fuel costs, or guide charges imposed by the Government of India will be applied as additional charges.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment can be made through credit/debit cards, net banking or UPI.
- Every payments must be made in full, without any deductions or tax withholding. Any bank charges incurred during the remittance process, whether by the remitting bank or an intermediary bank, will be strictly the responsibility of the payer.
- Full payment to be made prior to the commencement of your tour.
4. Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure
A written notification is necessary in case the tour or travel service is canceled for any expected or unexpected reasons. Cancellation charges will be applied from the date we receive your written notice, as outlined below:
60 days & prior to arrival - 10% of the tour/service cost.
59 to 30 days prior to arrival - 20% of the service/tour cost.
29 to 15 days prior to arrival - 25% of the service/tour cost.
14 to 08 days prior to arrival - 50% of the service/tour cost.
07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show - NO REFUND.
Please note that regardless of the cancellation slabs mentioned above, a minimum 10% service charge will apply in the event of a tour service cancellation after the booking has been made with us.
For bookings made during high peak seasons (such as Diwali from October 15th to November 15th, and the Christmas/New Year period from December 15th to January 15th), NO Refund will be provided, regardless of the cancellation period.
If you cancel the trip after it has started, the refund will be limited and will depend on the amount we are able to recover from the hotels we patronize. We are not responsible for refunding unused hotel accommodations, chartered transportation, missed meals, or similar expenses.
5. Refund
Regarding refunds for unused or unutilized services (which have been paid for and canceled in advance), the amount refunded will be determined according to the cancellation policy outlined above. The refund will be processed and issued to the person who made the payment. Please be aware that the refund process may take 2 to 4 weeks due to banking procedures. Additionally, if the refund is processed to a credit card or bank account, any applicable bank charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
Travel and Schedule
1. Schedule Changes
- South Indian Routes reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, political events, or natural disasters.
- Any tremendous changes to the schedule will be imparted to the guest quickly.
- All itineraries are provided as general examples to give you an overview of the trip schedule. Due to factors such as weather conditions, road conditions, and the physical capabilities of participants, adjustments to the itinerary may be required before or during the tour. We reserve the right to modify the schedule as needed to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all participants.
2. Transportation
- Transportation is given according to the package chosen.
- South Indian Routes is not responsible for missed transportation due to delays caused by the traveler.
- South Indian Routes serves solely as an agent for the hotels, airlines, transport providers, railways, and contractors that offer other services. All exchange orders, receipts, contracts, and tickets issued by us are subject to the terms and conditions established by these service providers.
3. Accommodation
- Accommodation is given in hotels, resorts, houseboats or homestays according to the package picked.
- Any special requests regarding accommodation (e.g., non-smoking rooms, bed preferences, twin rooms) should be made at the time of booking. While South Indian Routes will do their best to accommodate such requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
- Usual Check in time for Hotels are 14:00 and Checkout at 11:00. Overnight Houseboat (if provided with itinerary) is 12.00 noon check in and 09.00 hrs next day check out.
- Early check in and late check out is subject to availability. To ensure guaranteed early check-in, reservations should be made starting from the previous night. Late check-outs are available upon request and are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge in some cases. While we can request early check-ins or late check-outs on your behalf, we cannot guarantee them as they depend on the hotel's policy, the time of year, and room availability.
- Registration and check in and check out times are dependent upon the strategies of the particular Hotel suppliers.
- Our rates are based on the current rates we have negotiated with hotels, airlines, and other service providers. However, these providers reserve the right to adjust their rates without prior notice. If such changes occur, we may revise the quoted rates to reflect the updated prices from the hotels or airlines
4. Meal Plans
- Meal plan for the package will be determined in the schedule. These may incorporate breakfast, lunch or Dinner.
- Any special dietary requirements should be communicated at the time of booking. While every effort will be made to accommodate such requests, availability cannot be guaranteed.
- A typical Kerala cuisine will be provided on the houseboat. Choice of food with the Houseboat is very limited. It’s desirable to intimate the veg / non-veg food preference at the time of booking.
Prosperity and Security
1. Travel Assurance
- Travellers are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.
- We do not provide insurance coverage for expenses related to accidents, illness, theft, or other unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that visitors arrange their own insurance in their home country.
- All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client's risk.
2. Wellbeing Prerequisites
- The explorer must guarantee they are medicinally fit to attempt the outing. South Indian Routes suggests counseling a specialist before the excursion, particularly for those with previous ailments.
- Any specific health requirements or conditions should be communicated to South Indian Routes at the time of booking to ensure that we can accommodate your needs and provide the necessary services.
- Travellers with a contagious illness are kindly asked not to participate in the tour.

- Travellers are kindly requested to follow all safety instructions provided by the guides or service providers.
- For activities, for example, trekking, water sports, or other experiences, appropriate wellbeing gear should be worn consistently.
- South Indian Routes claims all authority to decline cooperation in specific exercises considering the well-being of the parties included.
Commitments and Liabilities
1. Obligation Limitations
- South Indian Routes collaborates with various service providers, including transportation, hotels, and development providers. However, South Indian Routes has limited control over their activities. In case of any mishaps, injuries, or damages resulting from the actions or negligence of these third parties, responsibility will fall to the relevant authorities.
- South Indian Routes isn't liable for any postponements, changes, or scratch-offs brought about by outside variables like climate, political insecurity, or natural calamities.
- To travel to India from overseas (excluding citizens of Nepal and Bhutan), a passport valid for at least 6 months and a valid visa are required. Please note that the processing of passports and visas is not included in the tour cost.
2. Unforeseen Circumstances
- In the event of force majeure circumstances (such as natural disasters, pandemics, civil disturbances, strikes, or riots), South Indian Routes reserves the right to cancel or modify the tour itinerary without prior notice.
3. Explorer Obligation
- Travelers are responsible for ensuring they possess the necessary travel documents, including visas, permits, and identification, for the entire duration of the journey.
- Any harm caused to property or convenience by the guest should be remunerated by the guest straightforwardly to the concerned co-op.
Extra Terms for Specific Routes
1. Karnataka
- For wildlife jeep or other safaris, travelers are kindly requested to adhere to the rules and guidelines provided by the guides or park authorities.
- Flash photography and loud noises are prohibited in certain areas. Please adhere to the rules and regulations of the locations you visit
2. Tamil Nadu
- Visits to strict destinations require humble clothing. Guests are requested to regard neighborhood culture and customs.
3. Andhra Pradesh
- Some historical sites may have restricted access. Visitors are advised to follow the guidelines provided by the authorities at these locations.
4. Goa
- Beach activities are subject to weather conditions and local regulations. Certain beaches may be off-limits during the monsoon season.
5. Lakshadweep and Andaman
- Lakshadweep and the Andaman Islands require exceptional grants. South Indian Routes will help with acquiring these grants; however the obligation regarding protecting them lies with the guest.

6. Kerala
